The Etsy Berlin office have been busy putting together an amazing look book for Winter 2011 and W.L.W is in it! I just received my copy in the mail and it looks amazing!!!

Toronto Life magazine launched it’s first Stylebook edition and to my complete surprise and total excitement saw that the DIRK Live Fast Back pack tote was spotted out and about and was part of the STREET CHIC story!!

TREASURES.
Not only did I get to meet heaps of cool people yesterday, but I also got to pick up some awesome bits and pieces made by them too!
I met Anabela and Geoff from Fieldguided and we picked up one of their beautiful ties and I also met Sandi from DEADWEIGHT who happens to rule the world and make the most amazing cards, postcards and prints! I picked up a couple but could have easily grabbed one of everything.
Yep. I sure found some treasures yesterday!!
WE LOVE HANDMADE ART.
Yesterday I participated in my first pop up shop event and had the best time ever! West Elm in Liberty Village hosted the event and provided me with what I believe will be the best set up i’ll ever have. Good luck to me finding props like that again!!
Everyone there was amazing! It was awesome to see and meet other Toronto Etsy artists and also have the chance to meet so many new people and be able to sell my bags in person.
The set up, the catering and the whole production was incredible! They had a DJ spinning the best tunes all day long - I think the nail in the coffin for me was when Luscious Jackson came on! I LOVE Luscious Jackson!!

F.F GEORGE - LEATHER POCKET WALLET.
Finally!
I have some pics of some finished leather pouches that I have been working on!
It’s been really cool getting to know different types of leather and also the neat tools and threads and finishes that can be used with the different kinds of leather. I am learning heaps and heaps and i’m kind of loving every second of it.
I decided that the leather collection will be based around one of my favourite book series growing up: Enid Blyton’s - The Famous Five. Did anyone else get into these books?
So the first in this collection is named after Georgina, George - a true badass and it’s up on the Etsy shop in 2 colours: Cocoa and Pony.
Also, spot the Deftones ticket stub… alls I can say is goosebumps, major goosebumps. What an amazing show! Did anyone else get to see them this tour?
Ok… that’s it for now! I’m off to sew up a bunch of bags for the West Elm show next week!!

Saturday June 4th West Elm in Liberty Village will be hosting an Etsy pop up shop event and W.L.W was invited to participate!
This will mean I’ll be there with all the collection as well as some pieces that I am making exclusively for the event!

I woke up this morning to find that the Dirk “Live Fast” backpack was on a treasury on Etsy and it totally made my day!
I love the title of the treasury too! It seems all the more fitting especially today since as I am typing this, I am on a train to Montreal to go see the Deftones tonight! So many good things right there!
Train trips are the best! Any trips really. Just getting to sit back and take in all new sights and see more of the world even if it’s a few hours away from “home”. But there’s something about trains.
Maybe it’s cause you get to cut through cool landcapes that are beyond highways, or maybe it’s cause if you’re travelling with pals you can all enjoy the sites as opposed to having someone be driving. Whatever the case, right now, I am super glad for this moment!
In other news, the leather goods are just about ready to go into the Etsy shop and I am learning more and more everyday about the ins and out and inbetweens of this little label journey! Hope that never stops!

WHERE IN THE WORLD IS W.L.W?
A lot of the idea behind WOOL LEATHER & WOOD was inspired by my travels over the last 7 years as well as by all of my friends that I have made on these travels and all of my fellow travellers out there. There’s something about the modern day adventurer that I find so exciting and I love how accessible so much of this amazing planet is to us now.
My beautiful pal in Australia - Helen set off for an adventure and recently shot some awesome pics, one of them being of the “RIDE FREE” tote on the back of a rickshaw in INDIA!
That blew my mind! That little tote went all the way from Toronto, Canada - to Sydney, Australia and is now in India!
I would love to keep track of the adventures of all the little W.L.W pieces out there over the years.
As time passes and if you so feel inclined, and you find yourself and your tote, back pack or whatever new W.L.W piece you have, somewhere in the middle of an adventure somewhere I would love to see pictures!
